Terms of Service
Last updated: 6 July 2026
1. The service
Ordo is an invoicing and back-office application for EU freelancers and small businesses, operated by KriPa Web, obrt za računalno programiranje, vl. Kristijan Pavlic Tumpa, Vankina ulica 8, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia, OIB 27744574396, MBO 99336766(“we”, “us”). By creating an account you agree to these terms. Ordo is a business tool intended for professional use, not for consumers.
2. No tax or legal advice
Ordo automates VAT treatment, invoice wording, and related calculations based on published EU and national rules, and shows compliance warnings where relevant. This is software assistance, not tax or legal advice. You remain solely responsible for the correctness of your invoices, VAT registrations and returns, and compliance with the tax law that applies to your business. Verify treatment with a qualified tax advisor, especially for OSS, cross-border, and small-business exemption scenarios.
3. Accounts and acceptable use
You must provide accurate business details (they appear on legally significant documents such as invoices) and keep your credentials secure. You may not use Ordo to send spam, issue fraudulent invoices, infringe others’ rights, probe or disrupt the service, or resell it without our written consent. Team members you invite act on behalf of your account and you are responsible for their use.
4. Trial, subscriptions, and billing
Every signup starts a 14-day free trial with full access. Continuing after the trial requires a paid subscription (billed via Stripe, monthly or yearly, prices shown at checkout, excluding VAT where applicable). Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. When your trial or subscription ends, the app is read-blocked until you subscribe, but your data is retained and you can delete or export it.
5. Invoice payments (Stripe Connect)
If you enable online invoice payments, payments from your clients are processed through your own Stripe Express account under Stripe’s terms; you are the merchant of record for those payments. Ordo facilitates the checkout but is not a party to the transaction between you and your client.
6. Your data
Your business records remain yours. We process personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. You are the controller of your clients’ data and warrant that you may lawfully store and process it in Ordo. Statutory retention of invoicing records is your responsibility - export what you must keep before deleting your account.
7. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may improve or change features over time; if a change materially reduces the service, you may terminate and receive a pro-rata refund of any prepaid, unused period.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are liable only for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and our total liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect damage, lost profits, tax penalties, or losses resulting from incorrect business data you entered or from tax decisions made without professional advice. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Termination
You can delete your account at any time in Settings, which permanently deletes your data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, normally after notice unless the violation creates legal or security risk.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Croatian law, and disputes are subject to the courts of Croatia, without prejudice to mandatory consumer or local law that may apply to you. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
